Hairstyles in the 1970's were big and over done. Early on big curls were in and for men it was long teased straight hair. Afros, bobs and mullets were also popular. On beauty Launchpad, It states that the "feathered look" Or big curly hair was started by Farrah Fawcett from Charlie's Angels. Hairstyles in the 2010's were a lot different. Long, natural looking hair was beauty. People often incorporated subtle highlights. Extensions were also widely used to make hair seem longer and more full. Beach waves, buns and braids where also popular by the early 2010's. By 2013, shorter hair had become popular so had bleach, ombre tips. While the hairstyles seem similar there are some key differences. In the 2010's "big" hair was not popular as it was in the 1970's. While curls and bobs where the same in the 70's the hair was often teased and huge compared to the 2010's. Also while people in the 70's did not color their hair, it was often done in the 2010's.
